Learning the ropes

A group of five staff have embarked on their certificate three in Cleaning and Warehousing Operations.

Having completed certificate two, the staff are now working through certificate three of training. The training is provided as part of our Pathways Lifeskills Program, where we have committed to up-skilling our staff in administrative and cleaning relating skills.

Earlier this year, we partnered with training solution provider, Learning Sphere to help accelerate our Pathways Lifeskills Program.

With the assistance of Learning Sphere, selected staff undergo Certificates 2 and 3. Learning Sphere are a nationally accredited training provider that specialises in Indigenous employment programs and community partnerships.

Managing Director Michael O’Loughlin said that the partnership with Learning Sphere helps CMC to fast track its Pathways Lifeskills Program and provide training to staff of a national scale.

“These staff members, who work on our Westpac contract, are part of 10 candidates we have around Australia who are currently completing the certificates,” Michael said.

The purpose of the Pathways Life Skills Program is to give disadvantaged members of the community an opportunity to learn cleaning, maintenance and administrative skills and give them the tools and on-the-job training to seek employment and up skill in their careers.
