CMC support local club to run Indigenous Round

CMC Indigenous Services has thrown its full support behind the Torrens Valley Football Club (TVFC) in sponsoring its Indigenous Round and jumpers.

The jumpers designed by the Burgoyne family, were sold to players to raise funds for the TVFC Junior Footy Development Fund and the Aboriginal Education Program in Salisbury.

The Indigenous Round games on Saturday in Adelaide were kicked off with a traditional smoking ceremony by Major “Uncle Moogy” Sumner to ward off evil spirits and cleanse.

A total of five games were played against the Hahndorf Football Club with one of the largest crowds of the season enjoying the games.

Congratulations to our State Manager SA/NT Tom Wightman who is also the Director of Football and Reserves Grade Coach for TVFC for his efforts in putting this together.
